Bike Spotlight: 2019 Harley H-D Street

Bike Spotlight: 2019 Harley H-D Street

For decades, Harley-Davidson bikes have held the finger on the pulse of lasting and emerging trends in the industry. The Harley-Davidson Street series models Street 500, Street 750 and Street Rod have been great additions to the Harley family.

Street Series vs. Traditional Models
Harley-Davidson Street family is reminiscent of the Sportster family that was launched in 1957 and continues today. The idea is to introduce a high-quality entry-level priced bike that offers a no-frills experience while still having the allure of a true Harley. Both Street 500 and 750 are entry-level models compared to the Touring or Softail lines. They provide a rugged and mean appearance, but also offer a friendly ride.

What You Get With a Street Series Bike
As mentioned, these models are stripped down and offer basic instrumentation that is found on all Harley bikes. They come with a standard 3.5-inch speedometer that displays only the basic information like distance travelled and led indicators, nothing to detract you from riding experience. A 28-inch seat height should accommodate riders of all sizes and provides a comfortable seating position during city cruising speeds and highway blowout sessions alike. The bike is agile and quite maneuverable with the short 60.4-inch wheelbase and a 32-degree steering angle.

The V-Twin Engine
This is a pure thoroughbred Harley-Davidson, meaning that the engine is one of its most distinguished features. Street 500 series actually offers that smallest production engine coming out of the factory but it still packs quite a punch; 29.5 pound-feet at 3,750 rpm that perhaps sounds a bit low, but with the lowered weight is still sharp for the entry level commuter bike.
Street 750 series engine offers 46 cubic inches (749 cc) as opposed to 30 cubic inches (494 cc) of the Street 500 series and packs respectable 44.5 Pound-feet at 4,000 rpm. The ROD model spices things a bit further and offers incredible feel to it.

The verdict
The 2019 Harley-Davidson Street family continues to bring more riders to our great sport. If you would like to test ride on any Harley-Davidson model just stop in Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson in Phoenix, AZ or Buddy Stubbs Anthem Harley-Davidson in Anthem, AZ.
